International Women’s Day is held every year on the 8th of March across the world. This March CWU officers are visiting Royal Mail workplaces across the country as part of the ‘Grow The Union’ campaign. Area Delivery Representative Neil Archer along with Branch Treasurer Jason Richards attended Merthyr Tydfil Delivery Office and where blessed with company of three of our female members. They discussed key issues within the office whilst listening and hearing about successes and challenges we face as a business and a union.
The grow the union campaign is an opportunity for the CWU to engage with the backlog of new starters that have joined the business during the Covid-19 pandemic but are yet to be brought in to the CWU.It is also a positive opportunity for members to raise their concerns and have their say in how we operate. Neil and Jason are aiming to attend the majority of our offices in the coming weeks so you can expect to see them in your workplace very soon.
